I had been hearing about Community Maritime Park since we moved to Pensacola a few years ago but wasn’t exactly sure where or what it was. I mean a park behind the local minor league stadium, what?
Last week I was looking for a place to walk that had enough room for social distancing and was by water – I happened upon Community Maritime Park and feel in love. This Pensacola park has everything I was looking for and more.
This no so hidden gem right in Downtown Pensacola is perfect for all ages.

Community Maritime Park Features
The the multi-use park is full of features that promote fun, health, and wellness for all ages.
The Rotary Centennial Playground is great for kids ages 5-12 and includes climbing structures and more for them to explore and play!
The park also has green space that measures just under a football field. So enough for playing, picnicking and just relaxing by the water.
The walking path around the water makes the park perfect for walking, working out, biking and running in Pensacola. Community Maritime Park also has an outdoor fitness court that is free to use.
I love walking and working through my C25K training here. The park is peaceful and always seems to have a nice breeze and the walking along the water is great for my mental health.
Love to fish? Well you can do that at the park too! Because the park is on the waterfront, it makes a great place for fishing. There is even a fishing peir.
So not only can you play, workout, run, picnic, walk and fish from Community Maritime Park but they also have an amphitheater. I swear this park has EVERYTHING.
Through out the year the park hosts free concerts such as Blues on the Bat and Hill-Kelly Movies in the Park Series which shows free movies at sunset through out the year.
