Christmas Movies For the Whole Family:
Narrated by Tom Hanks, this new classic Christmas movie takes children on a fantastical journey aboard a special train. Make sure to wear your jammies and make some hot chocolate! I recommend getting the book too.
With all the singing and dancing, this Bing Crosby standard makes the perfect backdrop for decorating the tree. You might be surprised how many classic songs are in this one, and I bet your little ones will be mesmerized by the wonderful costumes too.
A Charlie Brown Christmas:
The Peanuts’ Christmas special is a cute cartoon and a no-brainer. You can’t go wrong with Lucy’s self-help advice and Linus’ nativity story.
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas:
Do yourself a favor and watch the original cartoon (no offense, Jim Carrey.) Make sure to get this iconic Dr. Seuss book of the same name before you watch, and your family can read along with the movie.
“I like smiling. Smiling’s my favorite!” As the elf who was born a human, Buddy the Elf will work his way into your heart and keep you smiling the whole movie. Follow him on his journey to find his family, as he makes friends wherever he goes.
A Christmas Story:
Sentiments are strong with this cult-classic; you either love it or you hate it. If you’re not sure, give it a chance. It’s full of satire and coming of age, all with a vintage Christmas setting.
Christmas Movies for Toddlers and Prechoolers:
Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas
Everyone’s favorite monkey countdowns to Christmas with the Man in the Yellow Hat while they try and figure out what each other would like.
Disney’s Very Merry Christmas Sing Along Songs
Sing along to your favorite carols and some new ones with your favorite Disney characters.

Mickey and the gang save Santa when he gets stuck on Mistletoe Mountain.
Peppa Pig: Peppa’s Christmas
Peppa and her family celebrate the season.
Sesame Street Once Upon A Christmas
Elmo and friends bring holiday cheer, kindness, and the spirit of Christmas to Sesame Street.
Scholastic Storybook – 20 Holiday Adventures
Classic holiday storybooks come to life. Includes The Night Before Christmas, Bear Snores On, The Snowy Day and more.
Christmas Movies For the Older Kids and Parents:
Home Alone 1 and 2:
Both hilarious and slightly irreverent, these John Hughes’ movies are on every 90’s kids list. Once you get past the very real terror of leaving your child at home, you’ll feel warm and fuzzy inside by the end.
What comes to mind when you hear “Clark Griswold’? Every family has one, along with a Cousin Eddie, Aunt Bethany…you get the picture. Everything that can go wrong will in this National Lampoon installment, and every scene is hysterical.
Ok, this is *kind of* a chick-flick, but in its defense, it’s the most Christmassy chick-flick I’ve seen. Love Actually boasts an all-star cast, multiple storylines, and a tear-jerking end that will make you love love.
