Little Hearts at the Academy of the Sacred Heart
The Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls offering education and instructional services from pre-kindergarten school through grade 12. Little Hearts, ages 1–3, is our Early Learning Division of the school.
Founded in 1867 and affectionately known as the Rosary, the school has a long history that is rooted in the spiritual charism of the Society of the Sacred Heart whose mission is to “make known the love of God through the heart of Jesus.”
At Sacred Heart, we challenge our girls with an education attuned to the circumstances and times in which we live, and we express an exceptional spirit of love – for our traditions, our students and our community.
Customs and traditions that characterize Sacred Heart schools evolve over the years, but the vital force always remains the same: a deep personal love of God. This love inspires our students to share their gifts with others through lives of concern and service.
That’s how our girls become bold, confident women who make change in the world.
The Carriage House Infant Nursery
The Carriage House Infant Nursery is a Class A Licensed Childcare Center specializing in the care and development of infants 6 weeks to 1 year old. We have chosen to devote ourselves entirely to infants, and designed an environment where infants will thrive. Our low ratio of infants to caregivers, and dynamic physical space allow us to help mold our littlest learners at a time when they are most receptive, and to truly enrich their first year of life.
We are a family here at The Carriage House, and our babies are the most precious members of our family. Our promise is that your loved ones will be our loved ones too.
We are open Monday – Friday, from 7:30am-5:30pm, year round. The Carriage House gladly offers an open door policy, and we welcome parents to visit their child anytime we are open. We encourage breastfeeding moms to come and breastfeed their babies at any time of the day. We offer full and part-time schedules depending on your needs.
We maintain a waiting list and spaces fill up quickly, so give us a call today to inquire about our program and availability!
