August Is FREE Museum Month In New Orleans

August is New Orleans Museum Month and that means free admission to 18 local museums all month long . There is one catch though, you must be a member of one of the museums on the list to get in free to the rest of them. So if you were looking to get that Audubon membership, now is the time. Here’s the list of the 18 museums you can visit this month.

The Historic New Orleans Collection — 533 Royal Street

Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium ––  423 Canal St.

Old Ursuline Convent Museum — 1100 Chartres St.

Beauregard Keys House — 1113 Chartres St.

Longue Vue House and Gardens — 7 Bamboo Rd.

Southern Food and Beverage Museum — 1504 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.

Confederate Memorial Hall Museum — 929 Camp St.

Newcomb Art Museum — Tulane Campus

New Canal Lighthouse — 8001 Lakeshore Dr

New Orleans Jazz Museum — 400 Esplanade Ave
