Attractions Near Ormond Spray Park
The pavilion close by houses bathrooms and water fountains when needed. There is also a concession stand that seems to run on the weekends.
However, if you drive across the street to the Shriner’s club parking lot you’ll see a small shed called Destrehan DeLites Snoballs. There you’ll find a plethora of snoball flavors, snacks, and the best ice cream sundae you’ll ever eat.
Nearby Firehouse Bistro, which just opened in January, is a casual restaurant with a reasonably priced menu, you can also call ahead and order, and their food is delicious. It is a pretty casual place so if you just throw on a swimsuit cover up, you’ll be fine eating inside.
So grab your kids, your bag-o-swim supplies, and trek out to Destrehan. Your kids will thank you.
