Summer is in full swing and the Fourth of July is upon us.  Celebrate and honor America’s history with some of these awesome Fourth of July events in New Orleans sponsored by Rapid Urgent Care. 

Forth of July Events In New Orleans

Happy 3rd of July at New Orleans City Park

Enjoy Patriotic music at New Orleans City Park with the Marine Corps Band New Orleans and also some fireworks. Bring a blanket and some chairs as this event is on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn. There will be concessions available for purchase however, you can bring your own picnic if you would like.  This event is on Tuesday, July 3rd from 7pm-9pm. This event is free.

Go 4th on the River

Wednesday, July 4th, at 9pm. Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza along the New Orleans Riverfront.  The Fireworks are also visible from the Algiers Levee.

4th Fest in Crescent Park

July 4th from 4:30 – 9:30pm.  There will be live music from the Victory Belles and Mojeaux, plus fire works on the river at 9pm  This event is free.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase but you may bring your own. You are also encoraged to bring a chair or blanket. Fireworks, firearms, ice chests / coolers, glass bottles, and tents are prohibited.

Independence Day at the Museum

Visit the WW2 Museum on July 4th.  They are hosting several events that will be free and open to the public.  The events are from 9am-5pm.

Steamboat Natchez Fourth of July

Have the best seats in the house from the fireworks on the dueling barges from the Steamboat Natchez.  There will be a DJ, a buffet, and an open bar. The cost is $109 for adults; $55 for children ages 6-12, and $25 for children ages 2-5.  The cruise takes off on July 4th at 6:30pm.

4th of July Celebration Cruise on the Creole Queen

Enjoy an open bar, live entertainment including a DJ, jazz band and more, a buffet of all American favorites and the fireworks on the river at 9pm on the Creole Queen. End the night with a cruise along the river after fireworks. Boarding is from 7-8pm on July 4th. Cost is


FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS IN JEFFERSON PARISH

Uncle Sam Jam:

Tuesday, July 3rd, from 5pm-11pm. This event is at Lafreniere Park and is free.  There will be live music, booths and much more.

New Orleans Baby Cakes vs. San Antonio Missions

Tuesday, July 4th, at 7pm. Fireworks after the game.


FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA:

Light Up the Lake

Saturday, June 29th,  from 5-9PM on the Mandeville Lakefront. At 10AM eating and drinking restrictions will be lifted and families will be allowed to have picnics all day. There will be a food court that will open at 5pm. Entertainment on the stage begins at 6pm.  There will be a military tribute and Groovy 7 will also be playing. At the end of the evening there will be a fireworks display over Lake Pontchartrain. The Rain Date is set for Sunday, June 30th. 

Slidell Heritage Festival

Saturday, June 30th, from 4-11pm. Music from Bag of Donuts, Amanda Shaw and more. Fireworks start at 9pm. Bring your chairs and your appetite.  There will be plenty of food vendors, and a children’s area which includes lots of prizes. This event is at Heritage Park and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12.  Children 3 and younger are admitted free.

Sparks In the Park

Tuesday, July 3rd, from 6:30-9pm. Bring your chairs, picnic and blankets! Food and drink available for purchase. Fireworks at dusk. The event will take place at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington.  

St. Charles Parish Independence Day Celebration

Tuesday, July 3rd, from 6-9pm. Entertainment, children’s activities, fireworks and more.  Chairs, drinks and ice chest permitted. No pets or glass bottles. West Bank Bridge Park, Luling.

St. Bernard Salutes America

 Wednesday, July 4th from 4:30- 10pm. There will be local vendors selling food, drinks and much more. The fireworks will be at the end of the night.  This event is held on the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center Grounds and is free.

Madisonville Old Fashioned Fourth

Wednesday, July 4th.  This event starts at 11am and ends with fireworks at 8:30pm.  There will be a parade, beauty pageant, games, contests and much more.  This event takes place at the Madisonville Riverfront and the admission is free.
